No to the Lisbon Treaty - how do we get a democratic Europe?

A seminar against the Treaty of Lisbon Treaty of the EU and possible alternatives for Europe. We

analyse what it means for democracy (especially: Is the EU becoming a federal state?), social welfare, the former „peace project“ and a society of solidarity. And we discuss if there are alternatives from the bottom to build a more democratic, social, pacific, and solidary Europe.

Exploding Food Prices. Building new alliances for access to healthy and affordable food for all

Food prices explode while real incomes of people in Europe decline. Access to food becomes again a social issue in Europe. Consumers pay increasingly higher prices for food, while peasant and family farmers in Europe continue to struggle for survival. We will discuss who benefits from exploding food prices, what the root causes are and how to build new alliances between farmers and consumers.

Facing food crisis: Implementing food sovereignty

The destruction of sustainable family farming and its replacement by corporate-controlled industrial
